Help & frequently asked questions

Answers to common questions about using Sanad.

Is Sanad an official government service?

No. Sanad is a demonstration built for the UAE Hackathon 2026. All entities, fees, timelines and documents shown are mock data, and no request made here reaches any real government system.

How do I find the right service?

Open the New Request page and either browse the full list or use the search box, in English or Arabic. Minor spelling mistakes are fine, and if nothing matches exactly Sanad suggests the closest service.

Which file types can I upload?

PDF, PNG, JPG, WEBP and HEIC files up to 4 MB. Every file is checked for type and integrity, then read to confirm it's the requested document. Files are validated and then discarded, not stored.

How long does a service take?

Each service shows an estimated completion time before you apply. Because Sanad bundles your request and runs independent steps in parallel, the estimate is usually much shorter than completing each step one by one.

How do I cancel an application?

Open the application from My Applications and choose Cancel application, or use the Cancel button on the application card. Cancelling permanently removes the application.

Is my data stored?

Applications you create are stored in a local demo database on the machine running Sanad. Uploaded files are checked and discarded immediately. Nothing is shared with third parties.

Privacy policy

Sanad is a demo. It stores the requests you create in a local database so you can track them during the demonstration, and keeps anonymous usage counters for the Statistics page. Uploaded documents are validated in memory and never written to disk. No personal data leaves the machine running the application.
